ART-RELEASE
Child busyness and crime prevention programs creative camp „ART-RELEASE“ took place in Janina Monkute-Marks Museum-Gallery a hole week. The project involved 25 schoolchilds. Teachers from Kedainiai Juozas Paukstelis base school J. Adukauskiene and E. Leleviciene, painter G. Adukauskas and the Museum curator A. Fedaraviciute-Jasiune worked with students in the creative camp. This year, two volunteers rescued students to cope with all tasks. Campers interacted with the language of art every day. They painted mandalas, produced hand-made paper, had graphics day - learned to make linoleum carvings and prints and also were unconventional creation day. We had a tour of the Old Town of Kedainiai, coloured kites were flyed in Kedainiai Airport. Enormous soap bubble blowing action gave joy for everyone. On June 20 the creative exhibition of the works of the project participants was presented at Janina Monkute-Marks Museum - Gallery.

This year Janina Monkute-Marks Museum participated in the European Night of Museums for the fifth time, and introduced an extraordinary artistical program. The event, which started in 6:00 pm and continued up to 10:00 pm, took place in the park near the Janina Monkute-Marks Museum.
During the event visitors could listened to the live music concert held by the youth of Kedainiai district . Giant bubble blowing campaign did not remain indifferent to one - this activity just enchanted everyone. The museum has attempted to move art installation made from different colors of pantyhose, socks, underwear and balloons. Evening guests were invited to participate in the creation of the installation process. There was origami - folding and weaving from paper workshops. Children could produce wind mills. All visitors were able to contribute to the teamwork creations. A huge mandala - a collage of newspapers and magazines, a huge drawing "Colour abstractions“ and general mixed technique artwork were produced. There was a variety of games. The evening culminated in oriental dances and music-video projections.
Artistic workshops were led by Kedainiai district youth and seniors.
